Circle City Bar & Grille

"I came here for lunch and dinner and definitely did not regret it."

"In the hotel, they advertise about their roasted pepper and tomato soup, so much that I really wanted to try it. I LOVED the soup - it was quite delicious. My waitress also recommended their sweet corn and lima bean succotash - also quite delicious! YUM. Side of potatoes and crab cakes were only mediocre at best. The best part is that since they are in the lobby and the Marriott only has free wifi in the lobby, it is a great place to just have dinner and have your laptop out to go online. "

"I also had their grilled salmon - quite good, the salmon was very tasty and not dry at all. Their side of green beans was pretty good as well ( which means a lot coming from someone who hates vegetables!)The pricing for everything overall wasn't bad - fairly inexpensive is what I would say."

"I would say if I were ever to come back to Indianapolis, I would love to come back and eat here again."

Champions Sports Bar

Champions Sports Bar is located inside the Marriott Downtown Hotel, but also has a separate entrance on Maryland; it effectively functions as the hotel's casual bar, but also draws a good mixed crowd of conventioneers, tourists and locals.

"The service in here the few times I came in here was excellent. The bartenders were friendly, attentive and efficient; the food was good -- certainly for sports-bar standard, the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich is outstanding! -- and the drink and chat flow easily. The combination of booth seating, bar tables and bar seating works very well here, too"

"When there's a big event in town (as there was this weekend), Champions stays lively until well after midnight, and was a good place to call into for a couple after the shows finished in the late evenings."

"A hotel bar that actually has some spunk to it? Who'd have thought...!"

"The food here is surprisingly good. I didn't expect much when I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The service here is outstanding. The chicken was lean with nice buns and fresh lettuce."

"Full bar in the middle of the restaurant with plenty of big screen TV's all over the place. A couple of arcade games to pass the time very convenient if you staying at the Marriott."
